Andy
Andy is the leader of the team. He’s very concerned with ‘now’ things. Like all the team, Andy is a very peaceful and sensitive person. He is the type of person you like to call your friend. He’s understanding
, brotherly, and a warm person. This is Andy’s most important quality – warmth. Perhaps Andy’s warmth has rubbed off onto Nelson Mandela, among others to have met the team’s leader. After meeting Andy and Team Etchingham you must think twice before doing anything wrong. Andy rides to guide the newer team members and has attained perfection in his style as well as the respect of all professional cyclists.
Jonny
Jonny is the soulful leader of the team. Jonny is the Rouleur and
probably the fastest in the business. Jonny is a talkative person. He
can talk to anyone on just about any subject, and is always eager to
learn something new each day. He's the optimist's optimist. If there is
a half-empty glass of milk, Jonny sees it as half-full. Jonny's best
quality is happiness. Anyone that meets him goes away with a little
better outlook on life. He makes you happy that you are you. Jonny is
the Team member most into fashion, dance and young people things, which is why the fans and his team-mates love him.
Tim
Tim is the calm centre of the team. His most marked quality is a
willingness to listen to the problems of others. The other members know that when they have something to talk about, the best person to go to is Tim. They agree wholeheartedly when he recites his motto: 'judge not, lest ye be judged.' As well as being there to lean on, Tim is the talented all-rounder of the team. With quiet diligence, he has risen to the top of the peleton. You may be sure that whenever he is not busy racing or training with Team Etchingham, he is in demand as a United Nations spokesperson on professional cycling for world peace.
Rachel
Rachel is the speed queen of the Team. She likes to spend time with the fans, and is always there to sign just one more autograph. Her freshness and vitality rub off on the others. When they are tired, Rachel is always there to give them her energy and inspire them to even greater heights of performance. She really cares for others, and is always ready to share her time and energy to make others happy. 'I guess I just like people,' says Rachel. Her outgoing personality has made her one of the most popular members of Team Etchingham. When she is not giving her attention to the fans, she spends her time developing her cycling talents. Her powerful acceleration has gained her a reputation as the best in modern cycling.
Ian
Ian is the youngest member of the team and is also the rage of the fans. Ian is the pretty boy and that comes with all its consequences. Girls write him by the thousands and chase after him when he rides by. It is not unusual for Ian to be rescued by policemen in his desperate moments.
Ian is the team's new hope. Even at this young age, he is probably one of the best climbers in the peleton today. He has a smooth cadence that any professional cyclist would strive for. Ian's best quality is his cheerfulness. He can cheer anybody up. Ian never has a bad thought towards anyone.
Physically and spiritually Ian is a beautiful person.
Linda
Linda is the quiet member of the team. It's not that she's shy, but she talks only when she feels it is necessary. She's a very spiritual person and if anyone can make you feel better at times when you didn't expect to, Linda is the person to do it. The other members agree with Linda when she says how she feels about things: 'never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.' Although Linda has not been riding for very long, she has mastered the bike, and is there to help out in any race situation. Like the other members, Linda is a valuable asset in the grand tours.
Tony
Tony is the unbelievable winner of the team. Off road, Tony jokes a lot.He is the one that has hundreds of ideas coming all at once. But on road, Tony is the premier stage winner of modern cycling, today. If there were a way to describe Tony ( you really can't - Tony is Tony),you would have to list laughter as his best quality. When he laughs, the whole group laughs. It must be his personality that makes him this way.
But whatever it is, the whole Team is thankful for Tony.
Hester
Hester is the scholar of the team and an expert on the natural world. Leading a tired breakaway over the top of an ‘hors’ category climb Hester spreads calm and harmony amongst the group by pointing out the budding flora, often adding the latin names of the genus or pollination trends. Hester is also the supreme Individual Time Trialist of the team. Always breaking records in the ‘race of truth’, there are none quicker on the bar end levers in the pro peloton today. This, along with her love and knowledge of the great outdoors and perennially cheery nature, means Hester is both revered and respected by her team-mates and all other pro racers alike.
Rob
'Thigh-master'
'Rob is the joker of the team. Even when they most expect it, the other members can still be surprised by the wit and ingenuity of Rob's jokes.
It's all good-hearted, and the team all share a love of laughter and a love of each other. When he isn't dreaming up another witty comment, Rob works hard to keep his position as one of the most powerful thigh masters around. He believes in hard work, and throws himself completely into training. When you have met Rob, you are inspired to work to the best of your abilities
Sunil
